Over the past several years, I have seen Jen for hip, elbow, and back issues. Jen has always established a successful treatment plan. Now with dry needling, Jen steps up her physical therapy to the next level. Jen keeps me in tune and feeling well. Thank you!

I have worked through various injuries with Jen for nearly five years. No matter the injury, Jen has always individually tailored my recovery to suit my goals, lifestyle, and personality. My concerns have always been heard. In five years, there’s been no time in which I have felt hurried along or made to feel silly for even the smallest pain. She explains the science in a way I understand and makes me feel involved with my own recovery process instead of just blindly doing as I’m told. I recommend Jen to everyone I know and can never fully put into words how much of an impact she has made on my life as a mother, wife, and athlete.

Jen completely resolved my shoulder pain and saved me from another surgery. It’s almost hard to believe I just wrote that sentence. For 3 years I had been struggling to recover from labrum reconstructive surgery (SLAP & Bankart). Unknown to me, my motor mechanics had healed incorrectly. I was compensating, guarding, and all around weak. Even 3 years after surgery, I hadn’t returned to desired activity (surfing, water skiing, weightlifting, volleyball, etc.) and when I tried to ‘just play,’ I partially tore my rotator cuff because it was too weak to handle the force. Horribly in pain and staring down the prospects of another miserable surgery (anyone who’s had a shoulder surgery knows how horrible they are), I walked into Dieter Dynamics pretty much defeated, thinking, “I’m only 27, but maybe I’m just going to have a bum shoulder the rest of my life.” However, near instantly Jen gave me an encouraging kick as she pointed out the shoulder wasn’t my only problem. It’s odd to say having more problems is encouraging, but hear me out: She said, “Well, you might have injured your rotator cuff, but it’s hard to tell with your poor posture, weak back, and unengaged core. Your shoulder is an extremity to the base of the rest of your body. Like a crane, of course it’s going to have a problem if the base is off. Let’s work on fixing that and the truth of your shoulder will be exposed.” She opened my eyes to issues that were not only affecting my shoulder, but my whole physical body. It was a way I’ve never been treated by a PT. She looked at me not as a shoulder, but as a full body. She took time and patience to accurately assess issues that no PT has ever pointed out and sought after my overall motor health. Sure, not all tears & injuries can avoid surgery by PT, but the only way I was even going to know was to work on those things that in themselves would enrich my life and need to be worked on anyway-and that was hugely encouraging and hopeful. In the end, not only did we strengthen my base, but the issue I initially presented to her was completely resolved! I went from not being able to do upper body workouts, to now full-go pullups and Olympic lifts! In addition, I literally stand taller & stronger with a great posture AND have a confident mindset that my body can be healed. I can’t recommend her competency in her craft enough. What else could you want in a PT?

Over the years Jen has treated me for all my aches and pains – the two biggest ones being my shoulder and lower back. The pain had gotten to the point that even daily living activities were causing severe discomfort. Through her physical therapy treatment, I was able to make a full recovery and even a new personal record in my weightlifting shortly after returning to exercise! Jen took the time to see me and decrease my pain level enough to begin doing physical therapy exercises. After two weeks of those assigned exercises EVERY DAY, I was able to return to my normal routines with a few modifications Jen gave me. I continued including the exercises Jen gave me even after my injuries were gone. I now feel stronger, more stable in my joints and movements, and just more aware of how my body should be moving and preforming. I loved all the information and in-depth explanations Jen gave me as to why this was happening. It’s amazing to understand your body more! I recommend Jen to literally everyone! She’s great at what she does and has so much knowledge and passion for her work. She gets the results. Want to feel better, want to move better, want to be stronger? Done! She’ll help you get there. 5 stars!

I was experiencing severe shoulder pain from swimming. Jen treated the pain using dry needling, scraping, manual therapy, cupping, and exercises to help strengthen the area. My shoulder feels so much better, thus enabling me make it through practice without pain. Jen actually cares about me getting better and always checks in to make sure I’m okay. Jen immediately finds the problem and starts treatment instead of waiting around for tests, she is flexible with changing schedules, and she doesn’t waste time.  5 stars!

I started going to Jen several years ago when I was experiencing back pain, stiffness and sciatica nerve numbness, in addition to shoulder pain. What I like about Jen is her vast knowledge and passion to help people recover, feel better and get stronger. She recommended various targeted exercises to strengthen my core and back. She also worked with my doctor to create a non-surgical plan to rehab my shoulders. I loved that they both felt confident that I didn’t need to go the surgery route if I followed her plan every day. My shoulders are fully healed, I no longer have pain plus I am back to lifting more weight than I was prior to my injury. I will continue to see Jen for joint and muscle maintenance and when I feel something is off. The quicker you can get in to see her, the quicker she can catch the issue and get you headed in the right direction. I am lucky to have Jen as my physical therapist because she is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also her passion for people is refreshing. I love working with her because she listens, explains the issue, recommends exercises and walks you through them so you are comfortable performing them on your own. She is also a CrossFit Games athlete, so I know she fully understands what my body needs to perform all the various movements. I would and have recommended Jen because I know she treats every single person who walks through her doors with dignity, respect, and care. I give Jen 5 Stars (if there were more to give, I would give those as well).
